Peter, the Company Secretary and General Counsel is a 1989 Law graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990. He is an Associate of the Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ICMR), the Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and Affiliate of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN).
Peter has over 29 years’ experience in Company Secretarial and Corporate Practice and has been directly involved in the restructuring of several companies including the review of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC’s) interest/stake in Oil Services Companies in Nigeria; the divestment by NNPC of its majority interest in Eleme Petrochemical Company Limited (now Indorama-Eleme Petrochemicals Company Limited); the Merger and Acquisition processes of Platinum Bank Plc, Fidelity Bank Plc, Chartered Bank Plc, Regent Bank Plc, African Continental Bank Plc and Citizen Bank Plc amongst others. His other areas of specialization include takeovers as well as re-organisation of businesses (Liquidations, Receiverships, Scheme of Arrangements and reconstruction).
He was Company Secretary/General Counsel of Indorama-Eleme Petrochemicals Company Limited (2006-2008) and a member of the Nigerian Football Association Arbitration Committee (2000-2001
